The active ingredient in Zenegra is Sildenafil Citrate. Sildenafil is used as a treatment for men experiencing erectile dysfunction (difficulty maintaining an erection).
Sildenafil’s mission is to work on enzymes of the body called phosphodiesterases and to improve a man’s response to sexual stimulation. These enzymes work mainly in the penis, so the action of sildenafil citrate is primarily limited to the penis.
How Zenegra works
Sildenafil works to control the enzyme, and by doing so, regulates the blood flow out of the penis, thereby helping the patient maintain an erection.
Most men, regardless of how long they have had ED, get an improved erection with Sildenafil citrate. So the time spent with one’s partner can be sexually active and arousing.
Each film-coated tablet contains Sildenafil Citrate equivalent to Sildenafil 100mg. Zenegra contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate.
Experts believe impotence affects between 10 and 15 million American men. In 1985, the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey counted 525,000 doctor-office visits for erectile dysfunction. Impotence usually has a physical cause, such as disease, injury, or drug side effects. Any disorder that impairs blood flow in the penis has the potential to cause impotence. Incident rises with age: about 5 percent of men at the age of 40 and between 15 and 25 percent of men at the age of 65 experience impotence. However, it is not an inevitable part of aging.
Impotence is treatable in all age groups, and awareness of this fact has been growing. More men have been seeking help and returning to near-normal sexual activity because of improved, successful treatments for impotence. Urologists, who specialize in problems of the urinary tract, have traditionally treated impotence, especially complications of impotence.

The most common side effects of Sildenafil citrate are headaches, flushing of the face, and upset stomach. Less common side effects that may occur are temporary changes in colour vision (such as trouble telling the difference between blue and green objects or having a blue colour tinge to them), eyes being more sensitive to light or blurred vision. In rare instances, men have reported an erection that lasts for many hours. You should call a doctor immediately if you ever have an erection that lasts more than 4 hours. If not treated right away, permanent damage to your penis could occur.
